Welcome to Strong Wanderlust

In 2018 I had my first real adventure. I traveled to Europe through a study abroad trip and fell in love with traveling. In 2019 I went to live in Spain and felt so at home learning about the world and the people in it, when I came home I knew I needed to do more. I started planning to return somewhere overseas but then COVID struck and I was stuck. I became comfortable and decided if I could just get out of Michigan I'd be happy. As it turns out, I didn't know where I wanted to live next and I felt a strong urge that settling in one place would only lead to discontentment. This is when I came up with the idea to live a life devoted to travel, and what better way to start than in my own backyard? The United States has so much to offer and I've seen very little of it, I'd seen people living nomadically and I wanted to see if that could be something that works for me too. 

 

In June of 2023, I made a decision: I was going to buy a home on wheels and start visiting all the places I'd only dreamed of. I came to an agreement with my current employer that I would work fully remotely and the planning began! 

 

This blog is to share my successes, failures, and everything in between. I am on a journey to learn about myself and the world around me. I hope for growth and change in ways I cannot yet fathom and for the world to surprise me with beauty and lessons along the way.
