All About Us
Hector and I have been together since 2017. He was adopted from Tiny Lions in Ann Arbor, MI. He is purrfect in every way and loves snuggles. Hector is an indoor cat although he is also a professional escape kitty. In every home we've lived in (6 different locations) he has managed to get outside at least once. When we met, I had high hopes he'd be an adventure kitty but unfortunately, he hates his harness and refuses to move around in it (unless he's trying to get it off). I gave up on the idea of him being an outdoor cat right then and there (he'd get so dirty anyway) but now he's an adventure kitty in a completely different way! He gets to travel around with me and keep me company while viewing the beautiful United States from the safety of the big RV windows.
I have traveled a lot since adopting Hector. I went to live in Spain for 4 months (leaving him was tough) and have taken many vacations. This will be the first trip he gets to tag along as I can't bear to be away from him again.
To prepare for the journey Hector and I will practice driving with the help of my mom. We will start with Mom driving while I'm in the passenger seat with Hector, no harness or cat carrier. I'm nervous he will try to get under the driver's feet so I want to start off in a position to stop him if he gets too curious about the gas pedal. Once he is good to go, Mom will be off the hook for helping, and Hector and I can start taking rides together. I want to make sure he is prepared for the journey ahead, so we will practice!
